Senior Point Cloud Specialist

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the technical roadmap for point-cloud-based perception, including classical and DNN-based approaches.
• Architect and develop perception pipelines for object detection, classification, semantic segmentation, tracking, and occupancy estimation.
• Lead the development and evaluation of DNN-based point cloud models, including voxel-based, pillar-based, BEV, and transformer-based approaches.
• Design and optimize real-time LiDAR and 3D perception systems to meet latency, memory, and compute requirements.
• Develop robust preprocessing and feature extraction methods such as filtering, clustering, and motion compensation.
• Provide specialist support to mapping and localization teams regarding registration, alignment, and 3D representation.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in point cloud processing, LiDAR SLAM, or 3D geometry.
• 2+ years of experience in a senior or lead capacity.
• Strong knowledge of DNN-based point cloud models for real-time applications.
• Production-grade C++ skills and strong Python proficiency.
• Expert understanding of point cloud registration, segmentation, and large-scale 3D data structures.
• Excellent communication and prototyping skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in autonomous vehicles, robotics, industrial automation, or geomatics.
• Strong publication record or recognized open-source contributions in LiDAR and 3D processing.
