Senior PLC Designer

Responsibilities

• Act as the Electronic Development representative in a multidisciplinary design team
• Define, document, and maintain specifications of SW safety components and design for BECKHOFF PLC’s
• Perform trade-off studies to determine preferred implementation scenarios
• Make work breakdown and effort estimations
• Solve problems during first system integration
• Define and design automatic testing solutions to integrate developed code
• Translate functional requirements into safety logic design

Requirements

• Master degree or higher in electrical engineering or equivalent
• Multiple years of experience as Designer BECKHOFF PLC SW (TWINCAT3)
• Experience with PLC applications (SOFT-PLC, SAFETY-PLC, HMI)
• Knowledge of at least one Object Oriented Programming language (e.g., Python, C++, C#)
• Experience in the testing phase of the V model
• Experience with Automatic Test equipment
• Knowledge of guarding Human-safety regarding extreme high power laser light via interlocks and switches
• Fluent English in word and writing
