Senior Platform Security Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own company-wide compliance and drive SOC 2 programs using Vanta
• Lead secure system design including threat modeling, least privilege, and encryption
• Secure the software supply chain, dependency scanning, and CI/CD pipeline hardening
• Re-architect core infrastructure including VPCs, Kubernetes, and databases for stronger isolation
• Orchestrate penetration tests, vulnerability scanning, and third-party audits
• Partner with engineering teams to embed security into the development lifecycle

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in security engineering or a related role
• Deep experience securing cloud-native infrastructure on AWS (IAM, KMS, networking)
• Strong track record with Kubernetes and Terraform or comparable IaC
• Experience securing CI/CD and GitOps pipelines
• Hands-on experience with SOC 2 compliance and tooling like Vanta
• Strong understanding of threat modeling and software supply chain security

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud security monitoring (GuardDuty, CloudTrail, AWS Config, WAF, or SIEM)
• Depth in database security, including encryption and managed PostgreSQL
• Experience with zero-trust networking and private-network access models
