Senior Platform & Infrastructure Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain on-premises compute, storage, and networking infrastructure alongside AWS
• Own bare metal provisioning and lifecycle management from rack and stack to decommissioning
• Build and manage network fabric connecting on-prem and cloud using VLANs, VPNs, BGP, and firewalls
• Extend Infrastructure as Code practices using Terraform and Pulumi to cover on-prem resources
• Manage Kubernetes orchestration across bare metal and EKS
• Implement consistent security controls and contribute to SOC 2 compliance
• Build unified observability across hybrid environments using metrics, logs, and traces
• Partner with engineering teams to optimize infrastructure costs and workload placement

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Infrastructure roles
• Hands-on experience managing physical server infrastructure and data center operations
• Strong Linux systems administration and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs)
• Proficiency with Terraform and Pulumi
• Experience running Kubernetes on bare metal and EKS
• Hands-on AWS experience (EC2, EKS, VPC, IAM, RDS)
• Experience with hybrid connectivity patterns like Direct Connect or Site-to-Site VPN
• Proficiency in Python or Go for automation
