Senior Platform Engineer

Chargezoom is a rapidly growing startup based in Salt Lake City, UT that is transforming the B2B digital payments industry.

Responsibilities

• Implement technical solutions to achieve immediate goals while maintaining future optionality
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terragrunt and Terraform
• Build, maintain, and support Kubernetes infrastructure
• Implement CI/CD pipelines to optimize developer workflows
• Collaborate with engineering teams to enable rapid service deployment and monitoring
• Optimize performance, reliability, and cost of the infrastructure footprint
• Support existing infrastructure while building new capabilities

Requirements

• Experience with distributed microservices architecture
• Experience with relational databases like MySQL or Postgres
• Strong software engineering skills in Python, PHP, Ruby, Go, or .NET
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms and architectural patterns
• Experience building and maintaining Kubernetes clusters (GKE or EKS)
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines (Bitbucket, ArgoCD, or GitHub)
• Strong understanding of networking and the OSI model

Preferred Qualifications

• 5-7 years of cloud infrastructure experience
• Expertise in infrastructure automation with Terraform, Terragrunt, or Ansible
• 3-5 years of experience writing software applications in an enterprise setting
• Experience with PHP and frameworks like Laravel or CodeIgniter
