Senior Planning Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the Project Controls function by reviewing and providing consent to contractors' baseline schedules.
• Develop master schedules that integrate multiple packages and account for interdependencies.
• Identify potential risks and conflicts, documenting them within the Project Risk Register.
• Evaluate progress schedules to identify delays or slippage and suggest mitigation or recovery plans.
• Perform "What if" analyses to assess the time impact of changes, variations, and potential events.
• Prepare regular progress reports, program analyses, and presentations regarding major milestones.
• Conduct detailed assessments of claims, including Extension of Time and Disruption, using delay analysis methodologies.
• Coordinate with clients and contractors to resolve planning, scheduling, and claim issues.
• Manage and provide technical leadership to a team of planning engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management from a recognized institution.
• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in planning and scheduling for large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience working on infrastructure and utility projects specifically within the UAE.
• Strong understanding of the construction industry, including interface and coordination requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in Primavera P6 scheduling software.
• Expertise in delay analysis methodologies, such as time impact analysis and window analysis.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills for management presentations and professional correspondence.
• Thorough knowledge of industry best practices and regulations.
