Senior Planning Engineer (Infrastructures)

Responsibilities

• Lead the Project Controls function by reviewing and approving contractor baseline schedules in accordance with contract conditions.
• Develop master schedules that integrate multiple packages and account for complex interdependencies.
• Identify potential project risks and conflicts, documenting them within the Project Risk Register.
• Evaluate progress schedules to identify delays or slippage and suggest robust mitigation or recovery plans.
• Perform "What if" analyses to assess the time impact of changes, variations, and potential events.
• Prepare detailed progress reports, program analyses, and presentations regarding major milestones.
• Conduct detailed assessments of claims, including Extension of Time (EoT) and disruption, using advanced delay analysis methodologies.
• Coordinate with clients and contractors to resolve planning, scheduling, and claim-related issues.
• Manage and mentor a team of planning engineers, providing technical leadership and guidance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management from a recognized institution.
• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in planning and scheduling for large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience working on infrastructure and utility projects specifically within the UAE.
• Strong understanding of the construction industry, including interface and coordination requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 scheduling software.
• Deep knowledge of delay analysis methodologies, such as time impact analysis and window analysis.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills for presenting to management and diverse professional groups.
• Thorough knowledge of industry best practices and regulatory standards.
