Senior Planner

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and submission of entitlement applications, including zoning amendments, conditional use permits, and variances
• Manage planning or entitlement projects through the review process and obtain necessary approvals
• Implement quality control measures by reviewing project deliverables for accuracy and regulatory adherence
• Lead project teams through the design and development review process
• Draft proposals, contracts, and manage project billing and accounts receivable
• Maintain client relationships and participate in business development initiatives
• Develop community engagement plans and facilitate engagement meetings

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in planning or design fields
• AICP (American Institute of Certified Planners) certification
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Urban Planning, City/Community/Regional Planning, Landscape Architecture, or similar
• Strong knowledge of zoning, entitlement processes, and regulatory frameworks
• Proven ability to lead projects, manage teams, and communicate with stakeholders
• Experience with project management, budgeting, and proposal development
