About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and analyse detailed project schedules including resource and cost loading in accordance with the Integrated Work Schedule (IWS).
- Monitor and update schedules to reflect actual progress, identify potential delays, and provide accurate forecasts to the Project Manager.
- Prepare regular progress reports, including short-term look-ahead plans and variance analyses, for internal and external stakeholders.
- Conduct critical path analysis and "what-if" scenarios to identify and mitigate schedule risks and constraints.
- Support the commercial team with technical input for time-related compensation events under the NEC contract.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Project Engineer or Sub-Agent on major infrastructure or water projects.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Office.
- Significant main contractor civils experience with strong knowledge of engineering principles.
- Essential experience working with the NEC form of contract.
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification.
- Full UK driving license.
