Senior Piping Designer

Responsibilities

• Develop piping designs from concept to construction
• Ensure drawings and specifications meet project needs
• Apply technical knowledge to the design and application of piping systems
• Perform field surveying and data gathering for existing piping system tie-ins
• Support front end engineering design to ensure clear scope definition
• Produce piping design deliverables incorporating maintainability and constructability
• Ensure safety in design and adherence to project budgets and timelines

Requirements

• Associate degree (AA) in Computer Aided Drafting and Design or equivalent experience
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Plant 3D
• Experience with Plant 3D project setup and specification generation
• Experience in greenfield and brownfield site piping and equipment layout
• Experience working in collaborative model environments such as Navisworks or BIM360
• Ability to coordinate with internal and external groups regarding site layout
• Strong mechanical aptitude with an industrial equipment background
