Senior Philanthropy Writer, Donor Communications

Responsibilities

• Develop compelling proposals, reports, and donor communications collateral for high-level individual donors
• Write and design personalized narratives that translate complex conservation material into readable cases for support
• Manage a dynamic portfolio of projects from concept to completion
• Partner with gift officers and program staff to connect donor interests to WWF priorities
• Collaborate with internal communications and program teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding
• Maintain donor assignment databases and knowledge management libraries

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of professional work experience
• 4+ years of specific experience in philanthropy writing (proposals, concepts, or reports for high-net-worth individuals)
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to write in various voices
• Strong research, proofreading, and editing skills
• Ability to translate technical or scientific information into jargon-free language
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and basic Excel
• Experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with donor databases, design tools, or project management software
• Experience with technical or scientific writing
• Familiarity with conservation, environmental, or related sciences
