Senior Perception Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of large-scale, multi-modal environmental perception models to enable generalizable perception, planning, and manipulation for robotic platforms.
• Design robust training pipelines using high-quality, traceable data for large-scale model development.
• Integrate perception pipelines with reinforcement learning and sim2real adaptation techniques.
• Validate models in both simulation and real-world embodiments, iterating on performance across diverse tasks.
• Collaborate with hardware teams and contribute to the technical strategy of the Autonomous Robotics Center.
• Publish and patent breakthrough research in the fields of robotics and AI.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in machine learning specifically for perception and autonomy.
• Deep understanding of perception models, LLMs, ViTs, and multi-modal architectures.
• Proficiency in Python and C++.
• Experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Familiarity with 3D vision, graphics pipelines, and robotic data modalities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with robotic systems and frameworks like ROS/ROS2, MoveIt, or Nav2.
• Experience in industrial automation, autonomous vehicles, or ADAS.
• Knowledge of CI/CD and modern software development practices.
• PhD with publications in top-tier venues such as NeurIPS, CVPR, or ICRA.
