Senior People Operations Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day HR operations including payroll, benefits administration, leave management, and the employee lifecycle.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations, navigating sensitive situations with empathy and sound judgment.
• Monitor and track changes in multi-state employment law and compliance to proactively update policies.
• Maintain and improve HR data systems and reporting to ensure accuracy and actionable insights.
• Design, build, and deliver training programs and manager resources to promote inclusive leadership.
• Assess organizational learning needs and facilitate workshops in both live and asynchronous formats.
• Partner with the DEIB steering committee to embed equitable practices into all people systems and programs.

Requirements

• 7+ years of progressive HR/People Operations experience with depth in both operations and learning & development.
• Strong working knowledge of multi-state employment law and HR compliance.
• Demonstrated experience designing and delivering training programs and manager resources.
• Proficiency with HRIS systems, payroll platforms, and HR data reporting.
• Experience working in a remote, distributed work environment.
• Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in nonprofit organizations or mission-driven environments.
• Background in civic engagement or social impact work.
• Experience at technology companies or within fast-growing organizations.
• Familiarity with immigration processes.
