About the role
About the Company
Radiant is an El Segundo, CA-based startup building the world’s first mass-produced, portable nuclear microreactors. The company’s first reactor, Kaleidos, is a 1-megawatt, fail-safe microreactor that can be transported anywhere power is needed and run for up to 5 years without refueling.
Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted advisor to engineering leaders to build, develop, and retain high-performing teams
- Translate business objectives into people strategies including workforce planning and organizational design
- Coach managers and senior leaders on performance management and leadership effectiveness
- Lead talent reviews, calibration sessions, and track key people metrics via dashboards
- Manage employee relations matters and conduct thorough, impartial investigations
- Partner with leadership on internal communications and organizational change management
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Support operational readiness including onboarding infrastructure and HRIS integrity
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Psychology, Economics, or a related field
- 8+ years of progressive HR business partner experience in fast-paced or startup environments
- Deep expertise in California labor law and compliance
- Proven track record of partnering with technical leaders
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting workforce data
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work 100% onsite in El Segundo, CA
- Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as necessary
Preferred Qualifications
- Multi-state labor compliance expertise
- Experience in hard tech, aerospace, defense, or energy industries
- Experience supporting engineering, manufacturing, or production teams
