Senior People Business Partner

About the Company

Radiant is an El Segundo, CA-based startup building the world’s first mass-produced, portable nuclear microreactors. The company’s first reactor, Kaleidos, is a 1-megawatt, fail-safe microreactor that can be transported anywhere power is needed and run for up to 5 years without refueling.

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor to engineering leaders to build, develop, and retain high-performing teams
• Translate business objectives into people strategies including workforce planning and organizational design
• Coach managers and senior leaders on performance management and leadership effectiveness
• Lead talent reviews, calibration sessions, and track key people metrics via dashboards
• Manage employee relations matters and conduct thorough, impartial investigations
• Partner with leadership on internal communications and organizational change management
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
• Support operational readiness including onboarding infrastructure and HRIS integrity

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Psychology, Economics, or a related field
• 8+ years of progressive HR business partner experience in fast-paced or startup environments
• Deep expertise in California labor law and compliance
• Proven track record of partnering with technical leaders
• Strong analytical skills for interpreting workforce data
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work 100% onsite in El Segundo, CA
• Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as necessary

Preferred Qualifications

• Multi-state labor compliance expertise
• Experience in hard tech, aerospace, defense, or energy industries
• Experience supporting engineering, manufacturing, or production teams
