Senior Pension Calculation Analyst

Responsibilities

• Lead and support complex Defined Benefit (DB) calculations, including manual, automated, and bespoke requirements
• Anticipate client needs and design tailored, robust solutions for pension calculation suites
• Act as a technical point of contact for third parties, such as scheme actuaries and solicitors, to resolve complex queries
• Contribute to the development and optimization of end-to-end calculation automation
• Articulate technical views confidently in client discussions and professional settings
• Take accountability for the successful delivery of projects and drive improvements in quality and efficiency

Requirements

• Strong background in UK occupational pensions with deep Defined Benefits (DB) experience
• Proven experience in pension administration and hands-on manual pension calculations
• Technical knowledge of complex DB calculations, including GMP, Barber period, and GMP Equalisation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret scheme rules accurately
• Proficiency in MS Excel and Word
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within virtual or cross-functional teams
