Senior PCB Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead digital/analog PCB design for space environments
• Mentor and oversee junior team members and interns
• Translate board-level requirements into comprehensive design concepts
• Collaborate with FPGA, software, and test designers to streamline integration
• Complete or review schematic capture level design
• Identify and manage technology and design risks
• Ensure Design for Manufacture/Test in space environments
• Supervise design layout constraints, parts placement, and assembly drawings
• Conduct circuit simulations and design analyses including worst-case scenarios and FMECA
• Coordinate with structural, thermal, and packaging teams for component placement
• Oversee board assembly and manufacturing tests
• Lead testing, troubleshooting, and debugging of complex mixed-signal boards

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent
• Minimum of 7 years of experience designing processor, digital, analog, high-speed, or mixed-signal PCBs
• Proficiency in coaching and supervising junior team members
• Experience in design architecture and multidisciplinary specifications
• Proficiency in Python, MathCAD, Spice, Matlab, and JIRA
• Strong understanding of electronic circuits and communication protocols
• Knowledge of PCB manufacturing processes
• Experience conducting FMECA, WCA, signal integrity, and power integrity analyses
