Senior Payroll Tax Analyst

Responsibilities

• Manage full cycle U.S. and Canadian payroll tax filings, deposits, reconciliations, and remittances.
• Oversee year-end activities, including U.S. W-2 and Canadian T4/T4A reporting.
• Ensure compliance with IRS, DOL, CRA, and provincial payroll legislation.
• Investigate and resolve complex payroll tax issues, wage garnishments, and tax notices.
• Optimize ADP Smart Compliance and Oracle HCM integrations to streamline processes.
• Support audit readiness through robust internal controls and SOX compliance documentation.
• Partner with HR, Legal, and Accounting on worker classification and cross-border taxation matters.
• Utilize AI-driven tools and analytics to identify jurisdictional errors and improve accuracy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of multi-state U.S. payroll tax experience, including Canadian provinces/territories.
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation.
• Hands-on experience with ADP Smart Compliance and Oracle HCM.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Strong knowledge of SOX compliance and internal controls.
• Demonstrated expertise in process improvement and automation.
