Senior Payroll Specialist

Responsibilities

• Process and manage the end-to-end payroll cycle in France, Italy, Spain, and Portugal
• Prepare payroll input for external vendors including regular pay, overtime, bonuses, and benefits
• Review payroll drafts from external vendors to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance
• Manage various payroll schedules, including Retail, ensuring timely payments and payslip distribution
• Deliver month-end payroll reports to Finance and reconcile payroll accounts
• Enroll team members into local benefits such as health insurance and pension schemes
• Address payroll-related inquiries from employees and business leaders
• Prepare mandatory payroll documents like Attestation employeur and Certificat de travail
• Collaborate with Talent and Finance teams to ensure system integration between Workday and external vendors
• Design payroll processes in alignment with internal SOX controls and drive automation
• Set up payroll operations in new markets and conduct regular audits

Requirements

• 4+ years of payroll work experience in France or Italy
• Excellent operational, legislative, and best practice payroll knowledge in France or Italy
• Experience working with external payroll providers
• Excellent Excel skills
• Strong stakeholder management and analytical approach
• Ability to handle confidential data with high attention to detail
• Fluency in English and at least one other local language

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in payroll for Retail populations
• Knowledge of payroll in Spain or Portugal
• Experience with Workday
