Senior Payroll Specialist

Responsibilities

• Support the US semi-monthly payroll process for over 3,000 employees using the Workday payroll module
• Provide administrative payroll support for Canada and Latin America populations
• Process new hires, terminations, status changes, tax changes, and international transfers
• Manage equity transactions including RSUs, NSOs, and ISOs
• Resolve payroll discrepancies by analyzing Workday data reports
• Collaborate with Finance and People teams to support audits and implement control improvements
• Handle government reporting inquiries regarding wages, withholdings, and 401k plans
• Maintain accurate payroll records in compliance with employment laws and retention policies

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience processing payroll in a multi-state environment
• Proficiency with payroll systems, specifically Workday or ADP
• Knowledge of relevant payroll legislation, such as SOX or FLSA
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF)
• Strong organizational, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
• Ability to handle confidential matters with professional judgment and discretion
