About the role
Responsibilities
- Administer and process payroll for clients, including updating systems with new hire, termination, pay rate, and deduction information
- Prepare payroll reports, year-end tax forms, and other required client documentation
- Collect, review, and verify timesheets and process direct deposit inputs
- Manage in-house payroll processing, tax deposits, and filing of payroll returns
- Handle new hire setup, communications, and garnishment/benefit plan obligations
- Coordinate with client support for payroll agency correspondence
- Assist with training new employees in the accounting services department
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of payroll experience
- Strong understanding of payroll laws and guidelines
- Strong technology skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
