Senior Payroll Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end payroll processing for a multi-national workforce including hourly, salaried, full-time, and part-time employees
• Ensure compliance with all provincial, state, federal, and local payroll legislation
• Manage payroll calendars, reconciliations, and year-end activities including T4s, T4As, RL-1s, and US equivalents
• Serve as the primary escalation point for complex payroll issues and employee inquiries
• Conduct regular payroll audits and reconciliations to ensure data integrity
• Maintain and improve payroll processes, documentation, and internal controls
• Act as the main point of contact with the external payroll provider
• Support the administration and improvement of benefits and pension programs
• Leverage payroll systems and SAP integration to support operations

Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive experience in payroll and benefits
• Experience in a multi-national environment
• Strong working knowledge of Canadian and US payroll requirements
• PCP, CPM, or equivalent designation from the National Payroll Institute preferred
• Hands-on experience with payroll systems
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is an asset
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proven ability to lead through influence and partner across functions
