Senior Payroll Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Run payroll cycles according to the established schedule and resolve any out-of-balance conditions.
• Input and verify payroll data accuracy through meticulous balancing and comparison.
• Assist the Payroll Manager with General Ledger reconciliation and the preparation of journal entries.
• Perform testing, setup, and maintenance for earnings codes, deduction codes, and system imports.
• Manage the garnishment process in coordination with the payroll provider and communicate with employees.
• Prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all payroll processing functions.
• Handle tax registrations and assist with year-end and quarter-end balancing processes.
• Maintain system synchronization between Oracle and Ceridian Dayforce.

Requirements

• University Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of directly related payroll experience.
• Demonstrated ability to accurately balance complex payroll items.
• Working knowledge of payroll/HRIS systems and report writing.
• Strong understanding of accounting practices and general ledger reconciliation.
• Expert knowledge of federal, state, and local tax codes.
