About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough payroll audits to identify and rectify errors, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Manage EIB (Earnings Input Batch) data and maintain ACAS (Actual Compensation Administration System) data for accurate reporting.
- Administer Long-Term Incentive (LTI) programs and process dividend payments for US and Canadian employees.
- Manage vacation payouts, specifically adhering to California labor laws and other regional regulations.
- Execute month-end payroll processes, including tax remittances and consolidation of payroll accounts in Canada.
- Manage expatriate payroll, including housing and gross-up calculations.
- Participate in annual Workday system reviews, testing, and various payroll-related improvement projects.
- Provide guidance and support to payroll analysts to ensure team efficiency and resolve complex issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll processing, specifically focusing on US and Canadian payroll.
- Strong knowledge of US and Canadian payroll regulations, including California labor laws.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other payroll-related software.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with the Workday payroll system.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or equivalent certification.
- Experience managing expatriate payroll and performing gross-up calculations.
