About the role
Responsibilities
- Process weekly pay cycles for 200+ union and non-union employees
- Liaise with remote offices to ensure accuracy of hours, rates, and overtime
- Support the accounting team with relevant information and analysis
- Prepare, review, and electronically submit ROEs
- Manage employee benefit plan processes, source deductions, union dues, and pension plans
- Assist with year-end audits and T4/T4A filing
- Provide requested information to HR and executive teams
- Maintain strict confidentiality and recommend system improvements
Requirements
- Designation via the National Payroll Institute (PCP, CPM, or equivalent)
- 5+ years of experience in a payroll specialist role processing 150+ employees
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Experience processing union payroll with multiple collective agreements
- Experience in group benefit management
- Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
