Senior Payroll Administrator

Responsibilities

• Lead bi-weekly and off-cycle payroll processing and auditing practices
• Coordinate with supervisors to resolve time discrepancies and PTO approvals
• Oversee setup and compliance of state and local tax jurisdictions
• Manage multi-state payroll tax compliance and liaison with ADP Workforce teams
• Communicate with state employment departments and tax agencies regarding audits and inquiries
• Process garnishment orders and other payroll specifications
• Prepare journal entries and reconcile payroll-related general ledger accounts
• Support internal and external HR and Accounting audits
• Produce scheduled and ad-hoc payroll and HR reports
• Partner with HR and Accounting to implement process improvements

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of progressive payroll experience
• Expertise in multi-state payroll processing and tax compliance
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• Hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now or comparable enterprise platform
• Experience managing multi-state tax compliance and agency communication
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax laws
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables)
• Working knowledge of general accounting principles and general ledger
