About the role
Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze financial information to prepare general ledger entries and document business transactions
- Conduct statistical analyses to determine trends, estimates, and significant changes, providing narrative reports on findings
- Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports to summarize the company's financial position
- Monitor compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and internal company procedures
- Review, investigate, and correct errors or inconsistencies in financial entries and reports
- Assist management with the review, processing, and analysis of monthly close entries
- Perform reconciliation of assigned balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy
- Make recommendations for improving accounting processes, reserves, assets, and expenditures
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 8+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment
- Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
- Strong analytical, auditing, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently while meeting strict deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a related field
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation
- Experience with payroll systems, specifically UKG
