Senior Payments Strategy Manager

Responsibilities

• Own the full product lifecycle for the Payments Platform, including strategy, roadmap definition, prioritization, and execution.
• Drive platform capabilities to improve purchase conversion, first-payment success, renewal recovery, and subscriber retention.
• Lead payment optimization initiatives such as authorization strategy, intelligent routing, dunning, and tokenization.
• Manage end-to-end payment partner relationships, including commercial alignment, integrations, and performance management.
• Expand platform support for new payment methods, global markets, and emerging regulatory requirements.
• Partner with Analytics and Data Science teams to drive experimentation frameworks and A/B testing.
• Communicate roadmap priorities, operational risks, and strategic tradeoffs to senior leadership.

Requirements

• 10+ years of Product Management experience, specifically with payments, subscription commerce, or financial platforms at scale.
• Deep expertise in the payments ecosystem, including gateways, processors, digital wallets, and recurring billing.
• Proven track record of leading large-scale initiatives that improve authorization rates or cost efficiency.
• Strong analytical and experimentation background, including KPI development and funnel optimization.
• Technical fluency with modern commerce architectures, APIs, and distributed systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with subscription lifecycle optimization and passive churn reduction.
• Familiarity with payment economics, interchange optimization, and COGS management.
• Experience scaling platforms through rapid international expansion and localization.
• Background in both technical product management and commercial vendor strategy.
