Senior Paralegal

Responsibilities

• Review case files and documents for criminal or civil cases to identify pertinent material and issues
• Establish and maintain effective systems for compiling, indexing, and organizing legal information
• Assist in trial preparation by organizing trial documents and drafting lists of documents offered at trial
• Manage electronic case files to ensure they are organized, current, and easily retrievable
• Perform legal research using libraries and computer data banks to extract references and summarize precedents
• Support attorneys by managing calendars, tracking due dates for pleadings, hearings, and court appearances
• Assist with discovery processes, including preparing, scheduling, and organizing evidence and managing witnesses

Requirements

• US Citizenship is required to obtain and maintain necessary facility credentials
• Paralegal certificate, or currently attending an ABA-accredited law school (minimum one year completed)
• At least one year of litigation paralegal experience or relevant project experience
• Proficiency with legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw
• Familiarity with ESI tools and eDiscovery procedures
• Strong computer skills, including word processing, databases, spreadsheets, and imaging systems
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to work under pressure
