Senior Packaging Engineer

Responsibilities

• Conduct commonality analyses across product design, processes, machinery, and materials
• Execute Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) initiatives
• Design and implement engineering Design of Experiments (DOEs)
• Perform Design for Mechanical Assembly and Automation (DFMA) evaluations for SSD assembly
• Design SSD assembly jigs and fixtures using mechanical drawings and reverse engineering
• Oversee development of Product Qualification Packages including specifications and DFM guidelines
• Lead specialized engineering characterization and cost reduction projects

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• 3-8 years of professional engineering experience in semiconductor and automation industries
• Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD software
• Experience with quality management tools such as FMEA, 8D, and DMAIC
• Proficiency in statistical analysis software like JMP or Minitab
• Strong ability to analyze and resolve complex engineering challenges
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of mechanical commodities including metals, plastics, rubbers, and adhesives
• Understanding of manufacturing processes like CNC milling, stamping, injection molding, and die casting
• Experience with SolidWorks Flow Simulation
• Experience with advanced metrology and failure analysis techniques
