Senior Optoelectronics Process Development Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute complex engineering studies and experiments using DOE methodologies to identify key process variables
• Develop manufacturing best practices, process windows, and work instructions to support new product development
• Utilize Six Sigma DMAIC or similar methods to determine root causes and implement solutions for process challenges
• Conduct process capability studies and statistical analysis to ensure processes meet key requirements
• Develop process criteria to determine readiness for full-volume production
• Research and develop new manufacturing methods to advance long-term company technology
• Provide guidance, direction, and technical support to other departments and sites utilizing similar processes

Requirements

• 5-10 years of experience in opto-electronics or microelectronics manufacturing with an emphasis on process development
• Experience with optical alignment or critical alignment processes such as micron-level die attach
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Physics, or a related field
• Working knowledge of mechanical design, drawing interpretation, and GD&T (tolerance analysis)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with opto-electronics module assembly
• Six Sigma or formal problem-solving background
• Lean Manufacturing experience
