Senior Operations Technician

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safe and stable operation of underground gas storage locations in Norg and Grijpskerk.
• Monitor installations and operational processes, managing alarms and initiating corrective actions.
• Identify root causes of issues to maintain safety and production levels.
• Act as part of the emergency response team (ESD) to execute emergency shutdown procedures.
• Manage the startup and shutdown of wells and facilities in accordance with safety and production goals.
• Collaborate with control room operators and maintenance teams to ensure efficient operations.
• Optimize production and injection capacity by identifying trends in process data.
• Perform operational maintenance, including well testing and proactive field monitoring rounds.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a process operator in the oil and gas industry (field and control room).
• VAPRO B certification or equivalent professional training in process operations.
• Strong knowledge of process safety and operational risk evaluation.
• Ability to make independent operational decisions within established safety guidelines.
• Excellent proficiency in the Dutch language, both written and verbal.
• A strong sense of responsibility regarding personal and process safety.
