Senior Operations Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Baseline factory metrics such as scrap, rework, and FPY to identify improvement opportunities
• Support shop floor personnel and manufacturing defect prevention teams to drive compliance and root cause analysis
• Perform process walks and operator observations to drive enhancements and reduce variation
• Lead Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) initiatives including PFMEA, control plans, and SPC
• Integrate product and process verifications such as First Articles and audits to prevent quality escapes

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM or technical field
• Minimum of five years of related Quality Engineering experience
• Experience with First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) and quality monitoring
• Knowledge of industry technical standards including ISO 9001, AS9100, or AS9102
• U.S. citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with J-STD-001, AS9201, Six Sigma, or Lean manufacturing tools
• Experience with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)/AS9145 and tools like PPAP or DFMEA
• Proficiency with SAP/PRISM or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools
• Previous experience specifically with circuit card assembly processes
• ASQ Certifications
