Senior Operations Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day delivery across several concurrent engagements, ensuring they are resourced, on time, on budget, and to standard.
• Turn client requirements and contracts into clear delivery plans with defined milestones and deliverables.
• Allocate specialist staff, including analysts, investigators, and advisors, across competing priorities.
• Track progress, budgets, and utilization while identifying and resolving risks or delays.
• Develop and improve operational processes, governance, and quality assurance standards.
• Line manage and develop the Operations team, providing coaching and supporting professional growth.
• Provide commercial and finance teams with reliable forecasting, costing, and resource-planning input.
• Support business development by providing operational input into bids and proposals.

Requirements

• Significant experience managing operations or project delivery in intelligence, security, defense, risk, or professional services.
• Proven track record of managing multiple concurrent projects, including responsibility for budgets and timelines.
• Experience in people management, including performance management and team development.
• Strong commercial awareness, including project finances and resource utilization.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to brief senior stakeholders and engage with clients.
• High discretion and sound judgment when handling sensitive information.
• Eligibility for UK Security Check (SC) clearance (requires right to work in the UK and five years' continuous UK residency).

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in government, defense, military, law enforcement, or the intelligence community.
• Experience designing and improving operational processes and governance.
• Recognized project management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2, APM, or Agile).
• Familiarity with intelligence production, investigations, or OSINT methods.
• Proficiency with project management and reporting tools.
