Senior Onboarding Analyst

Responsibilities

• Ensure appropriate CDD, KYC, and AML checks are performed on all new customers in accordance with local regulatory requirements.
• Manage and prioritize the customer onboarding pipeline on a weekly basis in collaboration with the business.
• Perform customer categorizations and ensure all necessary client documentation is issued and maintained.
• Conduct periodic reviews of customer files and ongoing monitoring of client relationships.
• Maintain the integrity of static data within the Client Database (PeopleSoft) and ensure accounts are promptly activated or closed.
• Advise the Front-Office on Group onboarding policies and documentation requirements.
• Work closely with the Financial Crime team and other stakeholders to escalate risk events and report policy breaches.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a client onboarding function within a regulated environment.
• Deep expertise in KYC, CDD, and risk assessment of clients.
• Strong knowledge of APAC client onboarding, specifically within Hong Kong, Australia, or New Zealand jurisdictions.
• Proficiency in business language suitable for the China market.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with international colleagues and clients.
• Experience utilizing AI applications such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Microsoft Co-Pilot is a plus.
