Senior OLTP Architect

Responsibilities

• Convey the strategic advantages and technical application of Snowflake Postgres capabilities to facilitate sales progression
• Provide comparative analysis of Snowflake's Postgres functionalities against competitor offerings
• Ascertain client-defined success metrics for the adoption of Snowflake's Postgres features
• Reconcile discrepancies between Snowflake's methodologies and client-specific transactional requirements
• Develop and deliver bespoke demonstrations tailored to specific client transactional requirements
• Elucidate security, privacy, and governance considerations for transactional workloads
• Act as the principal technical authority for Snowflake's transactional functionalities to technical stakeholders
• Collaborate with account teams to execute Proof of Concepts and deliver business value assessments
• Develop technical content including blog articles, conference presentations, and notebooks

Requirements

• 5+ years of Postgres architecture experience
• Knowledge of and experience with OLTP database technology (e.g. Snowflake, Postgres, Oracle, SQL Server)
• Knowledge of indexing strategies for transactional workloads
• Strong presentation skills for technical and executive audiences
• Bachelor's Degree required

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields
• Previous leadership experience
• Previous Field CTO (FCTO) experience
• Practical database migration experience
• 1+ years of practical Snowflake experience
