Senior Offshore Windfarm Controller

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the safe, efficient, and cost-effective transfer of personnel and equipment to offshore wind farms via marine vessels.
• Perform the role of Control Person under High Voltage Safety Rules (up to 66kV) and prepare switching schedules.
• Monitor turbine status and alarms via SCADA systems to maximize generation and ensure efficient response times.
• Monitor weather, sea, and light conditions to make critical "go/no-go" decisions for safe offshore transit.
• Act as Operational Controller under Wind Turbine Safety Rules (WTSR) and manage asset control transfers.
• Coordinate marine traffic and monitor vessel/personnel movements using Personnel and Vessel Tracking Systems.
• Support outage planning and the development of Standard Operating Procedures for offshore logistics.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a control room operator conducting HV switching operations and associated schedules.
• Previous authorization under High Voltage Safety Rules as either a Control Person or Senior Authorized Person (SAP).
• Strong knowledge of SCADA systems, Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs), and HV equipment/substations.
• Experience in the offshore wind industry or similar high-stakes environments such as Oil & Gas.
• Proficiency with VHF radio telecommunication systems and high-level IT skills.
• Experience with project planning and working within safe systems of work (WTSR, HVSR).
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure within multidisciplinary teams.
