Senior Officer - Financial Operations - GL

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post routine journal entries accurately and on time with appropriate documentation
• Record financial transactions within two working days and maintain GL accounts through reconciliations
• Support month-end closing activities, including preparing schedules, reconciliations, and trial balance support files
• Assist in preparing financial schedules and supporting documents for reporting and audit requirements
• Ensure data entry and postings in the ERP system are accurate and identify transactional errors
• Adhere to established financial procedures, policies, and internal controls to maintain audit trails

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, Commerce, or a related field
• 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting, general ledger, or finance operations
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and general accounting principles
• Proven experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closing activities
• Exposure to ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and organizational abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Progress toward professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CA
