Senior Ocean Operations Associate

Responsibilities

• Execute end-to-end air shipments including booking, documentation (MAWB/HAWB), and EDI submission
• Coordinate with shippers, consignees, agents, airlines, and trucking partners
• Manage timely invoicing for clients and verify subcontractor invoices
• Provide customer service by handling requests, claims, and feedback
• Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and company SOPs
• Maintain data accuracy in Flexport systems to meet KPIs
• Collaborate with account managers and customs teams to ensure smooth operations
• Identify and suggest process enhancements to increase efficiency

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, business, or related fields
• 1-2 years of experience in air operation or freight forwarding/logistics
• Fluency in Japanese (written and spoken)
• Good communication skills in English (written and spoken)
• Detail-oriented and structured approach to work
• Customer-focused mindset
• Flexibility to work on weekends
