Senior Occupational Safety Technician

Responsibilities

• Supervise safety activities of contractors to ensure compliance with corporate procedures and legislation
• Perform preventive and corrective field inspections and track action plans
• Analyze, validate, and approve Preliminary Risk Analyses (APR) for service fronts
• Ensure compliance with legal and corporate requirements for occupational health, safety, and environment
• Apply relevant Regulatory Standards (NRs) for industrial activities
• Conduct daily safety meetings, DDS, and training to promote a prevention culture
• Develop and implement accident and incident prevention programs
• Support investigations of deviations, near-misses, and accidents
• Interact with EHS, production, and planning teams to ensure technical alignment

Requirements

• Complete Technical Course in Occupational Safety
• Minimum 10 years of experience in occupational safety, preferably in large-scale industrial projects
• Intermediate technical English (reading procedures and reports)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Technical leadership and systemic vision

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven experience in implementing industrial units in the pulp and paper sector
