Senior NSSS Integration Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead NSSS integration for 2TGP and related uprate projects, translating requirements into system design and controls philosophy
• Define and manage NSSS-side requirements for integrated plant operation in collaboration with process engineering and EPC partners
• Develop operating strategies and procedures for startup, shutdown, and transient operating conditions
• Serve as the technical bridge between plant operations, process design, and engineering implementation
• Partner with safety analysis teams to determine required plant modifications and design updates
• Coordinate technical interfaces among utility partners, EPC partners, and NSSS vendors to resolve design and licensing issues
• Review design packages and technical deliverables to ensure consistency with NSSS design constraints

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or a related discipline
• 10+ years of experience in nuclear power plant operations, systems engineering, or plant modification programs
• Strong background in 4-loop PWR operation and systems engineering
• Experience working across NSSS and balance-of-plant interfaces
• Familiarity with safety analysis and design-basis requirements
• Ability to lead technical discussions across cross-functional engineering teams
• Willingness to travel periodically to utility, partner, and supplier sites

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior licensed operator, SRO, or equivalent plant operations background at a 4-loop PWR
• Experience supporting uprates or first-of-a-kind integration efforts
• Familiarity with startup test planning or control system integration in nuclear environments
