Senior NPI Firmware Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop power management firmware for battery charging systems, PMIC integration, and power sequencing
• Contribute to the full power management stack including low-power state handling and battery management
• Engage across the full product lifecycle from early architecture and hardware bring-up to NPI and mass production
• Perform hands-on hardware debugging using schematics, datasheets, and lab equipment
• Implement device drivers for PMICs, chargers, and related subsystems
• Develop factory test firmware and support manufacturing ramp activities
• Optimize firmware architectures for power consumption and reliability in wearable devices

Requirements

• 5+ years of firmware development experience in battery-powered consumer electronics
• Significant experience integrating PMICs, battery chargers, fuel gauges, and protection circuits
• Expert-level C/C++ development in resource-constrained systems
• Deep understanding of MCU peripherals, interrupts, power domains, and RTOS-based systems
• Experience with battery and low-power optimization
• Proficiency with lab tools like oscilloscopes, power analyzers, and logic analyzers
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting factory firmware releases and troubleshooting production issues
• Strong system-level thinking regarding hardware, firmware, and manufacturing interactions
• Experience working in agile development environments
