About the role
Responsibilities
- Receive and register samples for nucleic acid extraction
- Prepare laboratory facilities, materials, equipment, reagents, and necessary samples for protocols
- Perform biochemical measurements using spectrophotometry and electrophoresis
- Conduct nucleic acid amplification via PCR and prepare samples for Sanger and Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS)
- Analyze nucleic acids and sequencing data from exome and genome NGS technologies
- Process experimental data using advanced bioinformatics tools
- Prepare reports, activity summaries, and maintain formal work documentation
- Record experimental data in laboratory notebooks and present results
Requirements
- Master's degree in Genetics, Genomics, or a related field
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biomedicine, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Genetics, or similar
- Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English
- Demonstrable experience in neurogenetics research and diagnosis
- Proven experience with NGS technologies and bioinformatics data analysis tools
- Strong ability to work both autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team
