Senior Neurogenetics Technician

Responsibilities

• Receive and register samples for nucleic acid extraction
• Prepare laboratory facilities, materials, equipment, reagents, and necessary samples for protocols
• Perform biochemical measurements using spectrophotometry and electrophoresis
• Conduct nucleic acid amplification via PCR and prepare samples for Sanger and Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS)
• Analyze nucleic acids and sequencing data from exome and genome NGS technologies
• Process experimental data using advanced bioinformatics tools
• Prepare reports, activity summaries, and maintain formal work documentation
• Record experimental data in laboratory notebooks and present results

Requirements

• Master's degree in Genetics, Genomics, or a related field
• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biomedicine, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Genetics, or similar
• Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English
• Demonstrable experience in neurogenetics research and diagnosis
• Proven experience with NGS technologies and bioinformatics data analysis tools
• Strong ability to work both autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team
