About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform Tier 1 and 2 troubleshooting and analysis within an Enterprise IT environment.
  • Assist engineers with configuring, managing, and maintaining network routing, switching, and applications across Linux and Microsoft environments.
  • Utilize COTS software including SolarWinds, Splunk, MECM, Cisco Call Manager, and BMC FootPrints.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and configure network devices and firewalls.
  • Execute system administrator duties such as user account management, certificates, and group policy.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot virtual environments using VMware, Esxi, and VSphere.
  • Support monthly patch management, LAN/Site installations, and software upgrades.

Requirements

  • Active and transferable U.S. government Top Secret security clearance required on day one (with ability to obtain SCI).
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ or CISSP) required on day one.
  • Proven IT experience working in an Enterprise IT environment.
  • STEM degree with minimum 5 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with minimum 3 years of experience.
  • Ability to work a shift schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft Windows & Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, and Group Policy.
  • Proficiency with Linux bash and implementing computer security.
  • Strong understanding of network engineering fundamentals (OSI layers, IP addressing, subnetting, TCP/IP, VLANs, and DHCP).
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and applications as required.
