Senior Network & Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, security, and ongoing support of the agency’s IT infrastructure
• Manage router and switch configurations across complex LAN and WAN environments
• Administer and optimize physical and virtual Windows Server environments
• Serve as a senior administrator for Active Directory (AD)
• Design and develop advanced scripting and automation solutions
• Lead incident response and postmortem exercises
• Conduct architecture risk analyses and implement security remediation
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior staff

Requirements

• Must have a permanent Certified IT Developer (APPLICATIONS) civil service title
• Current professional/vendor certifications
• Experience with switching, routing, firewalls, and load balancers
• Proficiency in Windows and Linux servers, Group Policy, LDAP, and DNS
• Experience with cloud-based infrastructure platforms
• Ability to meet specific education and experience combinations (Masters + 12 months, Bachelors + 24 months, or High School + 24 months + 48 months IT experience)
