Senior Network Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and implement network and cloud-based services for authentication, encryption, QoS, packet forwarding, and spectrum management
• Implement scalable network/cloud management and provisioning frameworks for software-defined networking (SDN)
• Develop device management features including configuration, software upgrades, CLIs, and web GUIs
• Build software for network fault diagnostics, event logging, statistics collection, and fault isolation
• Design services with a focus on scalability, resilience, failover, and interoperability with customer networks

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science or Engineering with 7+ years of relevant experience (MS/PhD preferred with 5+ years)
• Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP, protocols, and Internet architecture
• Deep understanding of UNIX-style operating systems, including IPC and multi-threading
• Extensive experience in socket, network, and systems programming using C/C++
• Proven capability in debugging and troubleshooting on UNIX-style operating systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong programming experience in C++ or Go
• Proficiency with scripting languages such as Python or Bash
• Experience with web development technologies
• Previous experience in embedded software development for carrier or enterprise telecom products
• Expertise in SDN, Yang Models, NetConf, SNMP, or IPSec/CAPWAP technologies
