Senior Network Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Manage software development and integration of routers, radios, and laser communication devices on spacecraft constellations
• Manage suppliers and subcontractors to develop and test integrated systems
• Interface with subcontractors, consultants, and internal engineering teams to maintain product development plans
• Design and develop simulation and test approaches for constellation networking
• Define KPIs for contractors and internal development teams
• Develop and maintain software development standards and procedures
• Plan major integration points and testing between teams

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or similar
• 5+ years of relevant industry experience (Senior I) or 8+ years (Senior II)
• Comprehensive knowledge of network software
• Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Experience using Jira for software development management
• Experience with systems engineering methods (requirements management, performance characterization, etc.)
• Active Secret security clearance
• U.S. citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a technical discipline
• Active TS/SCI security clearance
• Experience with SDA NEBULA architectures
• Experience with Cyber Security controls and encryption
• Experience leading teams using Agile methodologies
• Project management qualifications (PMP, APMP)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project or Smartsheet
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or DevSecOps
