Senior Network Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, and implement robust, scalable, and secure network architectures including LAN, WAN, wireless, and cloud solutions
• Manage network security through firewall configuration, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access control
• Lead the deployment of network hardware and software such as routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers
• Ensure network resilience and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans
• Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and policies

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree and 6+ years of experience (or equivalent combination of education)
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Security clearance (U.S. Citizenship required)
• Experience with multi-vendor switching and routing (e.g., Juniper, Cisco, Dell)
• Experience with Palo Alto next-generation firewalls and Palo Alto Networks Panorama
• Experience with VPN technologies (e.g., IPsec, SSL VPN, Azure ExpressRoute)
• Active IAT Level 2 certifications per DoD Instruction 8570
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or higher
• Experience with cloud networking environments such as AWS or Azure

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with network automation and scripting using Python or Ansible
• Proficiency in network monitoring and analysis tools like SolarWinds or Wireshark
• Knowledge of wireless networking standards and technologies
• Juniper Networks Certified Internet Associate (JNCIA) or higher
• Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Administrator (PCNSA) or higher
