Senior Network Engineer L3

Responsibilities

• Ownership and accountability of detailed engineering, scheduling, documentation, and rollout for implementation projects
• Design and implementation of network infrastructure
• Low-level design of network and security infrastructure including LAN, WAN, WLAN, Firewalls, and Application Delivery Controllers
• Liaison with customers, design authorities, and project managers to capture requirements
• Integration and handover of implemented systems to operational teams
• Coordination with 3rd party suppliers and partners
• Datacentre and customer premises visits for hardware and software maintenance and installation
• Participation in 24/7 on-call rotational support

Requirements

• Broad working knowledge of Datacentre network disciplines
• Excellent knowledge of LAN, WAN, and WLAN management
• Strong understanding of Firewalls and IT network infrastructure
• Experience working within a managed service team delivering outsourced services
• Demonstrable experience in troubleshooting and root cause analysis
• Knowledge of ITIL incident, problem, and change management processes
• Ability to work independently and resolve incidents in a busy environment
• Must have the right to live and work in the UK
• Access to own transport is essential for site visits
• Ability to pass BPSS security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Aruba certification
• Fortinet certification
