Senior Network Engineer

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical lead for resolving complex network issues and incidents reported by the business.
• Design and implement advanced configurations for network gear, including switches, routers, and firewalls.
• Define network best practices, documentation standards, and strategies for integrating new software systems.
• Proactively monitor and validate the performance of network and communications systems.
• Participate in peer review processes for architectures, designs, and standard operating procedures.
• Lead the documentation of new deployments and maintain the network engineering document library.

Requirements

• Minimum of five years of in-depth network engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with network providers such as Cisco, Palo Alto, F5 Load Balancers, or Meraki.
• Proficiency in IP routing and switching technologies and protocols, including TCP/IP, BGP, and OSPF in dual-stack IPv4/6 environments.
• Experience with Network Access Control (NAC) and Software Defined Networking (SDN).
• Professional certification such as CCNA or an equivalent certification from other network equipment manufacturers.
• Strong technical leadership, decision-making skills, and the ability to work independently under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications

• Palo Alto Networks certification.
• F5 professional level certification.
• Professional level certifications in other networking technologies.
