Responsibilities
- Enhance analysis workflows for critical structures such as electromagnets
- Run transient multiphysics finite-element models to generate margins for critical designs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to improve hardware designs
- Build software tools to automate analysis workflows for engineers and scientists
- Expand skillset into electrical and thermal analysis through collaboration with in-house experts
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, applied mathematics, physics, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on engineering experience
- Strong background in analytical, computational, and numerical simulation methods
- Expert level understanding of electromagnetic and thermal finite element modeling
- Experience with multiphysics finite-element analysis tools such as COMSOL, ANSYS, or equivalent
- Proficiency with programming environments like Matlab or Python for scripting and data analysis
- Experience taking complex analysis problems from formulation through hardware testing and model correlation
- Familiarity with semiconductor physics, solid mechanics, and structural dynamics
- Familiarity with Slurm or other high-performance computer cluster (HPC) batch schedulers
