Responsibilities

  • Enhance analysis workflows for critical structures such as electromagnets
  • Run transient multiphysics finite-element models to generate margins for critical designs
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to improve hardware designs
  • Build software tools to automate analysis workflows for engineers and scientists
  • Expand skillset into electrical and thermal analysis through collaboration with in-house experts

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, applied mathematics, physics, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on engineering experience
  • Strong background in analytical, computational, and numerical simulation methods
  • Expert level understanding of electromagnetic and thermal finite element modeling
  • Experience with multiphysics finite-element analysis tools such as COMSOL, ANSYS, or equivalent
  • Proficiency with programming environments like Matlab or Python for scripting and data analysis
  • Experience taking complex analysis problems from formulation through hardware testing and model correlation
  • Familiarity with semiconductor physics, solid mechanics, and structural dynamics
  • Familiarity with Slurm or other high-performance computer cluster (HPC) batch schedulers
